You will return to this work again and again.  You will never be the same.

You will become more of who you already are!

Because each person is unique, the work I do in collaboration with my coaching clients is also unique.  The coaching, therefore, is custom-designed for each individual client who works with me.  It is also responsive to the changing needs of each client based on work done during and between coaching sessions.  This is one aspect of my coaching that makes working with me compelling. You, the client, get what you want and need!  The coaching is always adapting to meet you where you are and where you want to go.   The work we do is also taking a deeper dive into knowing and understanding who you are as a person and what kind of person you want to be in world.  I have a fundamental belief that what the world needs is more of the richness, diversity, and uniqueness that each individual person inherently brings into the world!

Generally speaking, in our coaching together, we focus on who you are in the world and what you take a stand for. We also focus on what it means for you to live a fulfilled life! My mentors tell me that living a fulfilled life is a radical act!

Additionally, we take a close look at what holds you back from being your true self and living a fulfilled life! We also look more closely at what it means for you to live a balanced life; this includes looking at what balance means to you. We are complex people and this complexity is reflected in the richness of our lives. How do you want to express the richness of your life?

We also explore what it means to create a fulfilled life while living fully and mindfully in each and every moment as if each moment really and truly mattered. We each deal with the ups and downs of life on a regular basis. These things have an impact on how we show up in our lives; it’s important to acknowledge and have compassion for these aspects of our lives. We also acknowledge the importance of renewing and rejuvenating ourselves and we explore strategies that make you feel alive again.

Finally, we regularly look at and experiment with actions that take you closer to living your one wild and crazy life (Oliver) or follow your bliss (Campbell). You will end the coaching work with a plan in place that builds on the work we completed together! This work leads to successful transitions and happy coaching clients.

Below, I outline the process described above. This will give you a sense of what might be possible for you in a 6-month coaching engagement. It might also give you a better sense of what you might want to create in working with me.

My journey into coaching and leadership began in 2003. All of the work I do is based on two things: 1) my personal experience and learning about my own leadership development which has been a conscious decision since the age of 29 (shortly after I completed all of my formal education) and when I decided ‘I want to be a leader’ and, 2) the peer-reviewed evidence-base in leadership development and a growing body of research on the coaching process.

Below I provide a list of resources I’ve used to guide my own leadership development as well as the development of the work I do with my private coaching clients and the students I’ve had the privilege of working with at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.
